How to dump grey and black on a 2017 Hideout177LHS
Hi everyone, new member, first time poster and owner of a 2017Hideout 177LHS.
My Question is on how to dump the black and grey tanks. I understand to dump the black first, then the grey. Most TT i have looked at have only one dump tube ( sorry for the lack of the real name of it), but 2 pull handles. MY trailer has one dumb tube for the grey and one tube for the lack. This has me closing the black off, pulling the tube and connecting it to the grey, then dumping the grey. So mine seems a bit different as to where i have to switch to the grey to flush the tube. The instructions are just as confusing..hope it makes sense.. Thanks for any help that comes along.

Sounds like you have individual dump outlets for each of your tanks (black/gray)?? I've not had that but I do believe they make something like Y connections that hook to each outlet but has only one connector to hook to the sewer dump.

What is normal is gray and black tanks have their own drain pipes and each a drain valve. Those 2 or 3 come together into 1 dump pipe with a cap at the end. Sounds like yours are 2 complete separate pipes. So, dump black, when empty disconnect the sewer hose. Than repeat with the gray. That way gray water may move debris thru hose that was left over from the black tank. I still wash the hose out again before putting it away. Also do your self a big favor. Buy a sewer pipe cap that has a fitting for a garden hose. This is so that incase you remove that sewer cap and than find out you have a valve open and have stuff flying all over. So, with that garden hose cap. Hold your sewer hose under it and open slowly. You will prevent getting covered with that stuff flying out of the sewer. Yeah it happened to me. Only once.

Yes they are different pipes to connect to, and there really is no good way to add a Y fitting as one is in front of the tire, and the other is behind.
On mine, I added a black tank flush. That way I can flush the tank and hose before moving the hose to the grey. I have only used the trailer one time so far, but it worked great. Here are a few pics.

That looks like a great solution. How did it turn out when you tested it?

Works good from what I can tell. It was not very expensive either.

Re: How to dump grey and black on a 2017 Hideout177LHS
Get another hose, connect both to the Y, and dump black/grey. Would save me from switching the singlehose to the other dump valve. Gonna give that a try..Thanks
