12 volt water pump problem

I have a 2017 Keystone Avalanche and when I switch to dry camp, intending to rely on the onboard water tank, the 12 volt pump switches on and runs for awhile, then turns off and almost immediately switches back on. It runs more or less continuously and is noisy. Anyone have ideas what the problem is? Have almost never used the pump. Is this just a replacement issue? Appreciate any input.

If your fresh tank is full, go around your trailer and bleed all the air out of EVERY faucet, the shower and toilet. If it still doesn’t shut off then you may have a water pump issue. You need to make sure you don’t have any leaks, and if that’s the case then you can start looking at the pump. Any idea what brand pump you have?

Generally, and that really all we can do from your description... it could be as simple as a low battery, or it could be a leak, or a bad anti-backflow valve.
The pump will pump until it reaches a preset pressure and then cut off... as the pressure decreases either from an open faucet or a leak it will cycle back on until it hits the pressure limit again.

The system isn't holding pressure. It could be a leak, or could just be the check valve at the pump. Is an outside shower partly open? Is the water fill check valve leaking?
