Just purchased Keystone Bullet 246. Will a Toyota 4Runner 4.7L with tow package tow this unit? Main concern is towing in mountains. May have to purchase different vehicle. Thanks for all input.

What year is your 4Runner? I looked in the 2011 towing guide: the best that a 4Runner is rated is 5,000#. The 246RBS weights 4,828# empty and has a load capacity of over 1,700#.

Please furnish more info about your truck.

Best I can find for a tow rating is 4500lbs

You are near the edge so be careful.

Is it a gas engine? Be advised in the mountains if as you go up in elevation you lose power the higher you go. If you are lacking power at sea level on hills it'll be much worse at say 10,000 feet.

We have this same trailer. With gear and everything you are going to be a lot heavier that the listed dry weight. Besides the tow power you also need to take into account the hitch/tongue weight and rear axle weight limits. The tow vehicle has limits as well and you need to consider cargo and passenger weight in there. Lastly, length of wheelbase should also be thought about. You don't want to have the tail wagging the dog. We pull with a Ram 1500 crew cab and don't have any issues. We have a tow limit of about 8500lbs and don't believe in towing at the max capacity.
