Check the sticker on your trucks door jamb for payload. Keystone's brochure for that model lists 2100# hitch weight EMPTY. If you trailer has optional washer and drier and you add the weight of the hitch, any gear and passengers, I think you will be well over your rated payload. You have a good TV but that just may be too much trailer for it. JM2˘. Hank

You don't tell enough info about your truck, 4x4? Crew cab? 6' or 8' bed? According to the brochure, the 5er you're looking at has a dry pin weight of 2105. By the time you get it loaded you will be on the upper edge of a 2500, but your door sticker and a cat scale will tell you the full story.

Congrats on the new truck, I guess you don't have much to worry about anymore.

Jaw, can we assume your family DID buy the trailer you talked about earlier, the Big Sky? If so, now you have plenty of truck. Your 2500, as pointed out earlier, was just on the line. Now you'll be set for a couple years until y'all get the urge for a new Raptor 425 and you can head back to the dealer for a new 4500 with all the bells and whistles.....it just seems like that's how it goes.

Here is a video put out by the RVSEF (RV Safety and Education Foundation) in how to match your Truck to the RV. It shows how the number relate to each other. These guys have been doing this since 1993 and weight thousand of RV.
