Thumbs up North River Campground, Camden NC

Arrived yesterday evening (a day early). Read a few things about the place so decided to give it a try. This place is beautiful. The grounds are very well kept. Greeted quickly by friendly staff and checked in fast. Asked me about any memberships (passport America, good Sam, etc.) and honored discounts. Was given an overview of what was available. Escorted to our site and they even helped guide us as we backed in.

The sites are arranged around a decent size pond. Nice relaxing view. All sites have rock pads and concrete patios. Nice picnic tables too. Small pool and convenience store too. Full hookups at every site. WiFi and cable also.

This is an out of the way place. But there are plenty of things to see and do within an hour or less. Weird thing is, it's only 40 minutes from our house! A great, quick get away. Very happy we found this campground!

Nice!

Nice to find a place you like so close to home. We have a few spots nearby, too. Great for a spur of the moment trip with not a lot of driving. We live in a rural area and I have to drive further than that to do any serious shopping
