"Handi-Hose"- water hose

Anyone use one of these in 25 or 50 foot lengths? Saw it at Camping World and it would sure save a lot of space. Comes with it's own wind up case.

Happy trails,

It got pretty good reviews on Camping world. The only drawback I see is that all 25 feet need to be unrolled in order to use it.

I finally had to dispose of my 25 and 50 foot versions of these after 10 years fo use. THe 25 footer started to get a vinal taste inthe water and the 50 foot started leaking at the seams.

10 years is a good life and I have no regrets.

I plan on getting another set of these soon.

And yes, you do need to fully reomve them form the reel to use them and kind of snake them around if you don't need the fulle length so there are no hard kinks.

On the plus side, they reeel in neatly and this process removes virtually all water from the hose. They do store nicely.

In my humble opinion, go for it if you find them for a reasonable price.

My neighbor bought something similiar from Home Depot. The first one lasted about a week and got several leaks. Returned it for another one and had the same problem.

I'm sure the hoses are different but they have the same concept in mind.

Personally I just don't think they would hold up at a campground.

Did he happen to get one of those green pocket hose that they advertise on TV? If that is what he got then yes it probably was junk. Mine developed a bulge and then ruptured after about a month. If it was truly one of the hoses like in the link I am surprised. I had a 25' hose like in the link that I used as a tank flusher hose and it lasted 15+ years before I finally had to throw it out. I would have kept the reel and just got a refill but the reel was pretty well done as well. YMMV
