door window upgrade?

Hi,
I just camped in our new 2012 2650bh passport and really love it but it would be nice to look out the side door window. Currently it's frosted and I like to look out in the standing position and also to see who's at the door before opening. Is there an upgrade clear-tinted window available? I understand I will need to figure out some kind of blind.
Thanks,
John

On some models that have two entrance doors it seems they use a clear glass on the second door. (That is usually a bathroom so figure the engineering that went into that)

I thought that window was quite easily disassembled. With that in mind, a glass shop should be able to quickly cut a replacement piece.

I seem to remember a thread...either on this forum or another...about a mod where the guy installed a full length window he had gotten from a storage yard. It was the same width as the OEM but went within a foot of the bottom.

Unless it is different than the doors used out west. This is what I did with the artic fox frosted door window. Unscrew the frame take out window, acouple minutes. Take to glass shop tell them what you want. I think I paid about 20 for clear glass and got a shade that matched the other windows. I put sealant around the new window inside the plastic frame(the factory has none) and that ended all leaking on it when I washed it.

Just as a reminder, if you go to a glass shop to get a replacement window for your RV, be sure to get safety glass or tempered glass. Plain glass will break or shatter into sharp fragments which can be very dangerous. And, in some states that require a safety inspection on trailers, you may find an "over-zealous" inspector who won't pass your trailer with standard glass in the door.
