Rain, Rain, and More Rain

We are down in western NC just outside the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Arrived Saturday night, June 29. Had a nice evening...campfire, saw the stars, had smores, etc. Fun time for all. Monday was OK.....but then the scattered thunderstorms started. Rain ever since....save today. Really glad it was a decent day today. Raining hard now though. Will be a mess packing up tomorrow night for the 12 hr or so drive home Sunday.

Wettest July 4 in a long, long time the locals say......

Better to be camping with family (even in the rain) than working....

Does anybody know of a boat with a fifth wheel hitch so I cn get home. Been at Conress Campground South Carolina for a week and it rains down here when the sun is out. Rain Rain Go Away

Sorry to hear about your rainy camping experiences

Each 4th of July, we host a family reunion at the campground on our ranch in SW Oregon. This is the first year (I can recall) when we were not a bit concerned that it might rain. In the past, there have been a few real "soakers".

I believe all of Oregon had beautiful weather for the Fourth.

We where down at Astoria OR. over the 4th we had good weather there too, it was cloudy in morning then cleared off by noon temps in high 60's low 70's. Just perfect.
