Need new TV tires, asking opinions

Hi everyone,

Time for us to get new TV tires as the BF Goodrich AT's are wearing out at 22,000 miles.

They are 285/75/16's and he was thinking of going a little lower profile
(Do they make a 285/70/16 tire in a dependable brand?)

Our gears are 3:73's and thought a lower profile might give us a little more gear!

Also, is everyone elses tires wearing out at 22,000 miles?
Remember our towing is 90% towing as we fulltime.

We do keep up with the tire pressure and rotating and all tires are wearing evenly but we are down to 5/32's so we figure we gotta start looking.

Thanks for any thoughts.

Jo

Hi Jo
What ever you get make sure the dealer shows you the manufacture date of the tires.. it is stamped right on the inside sidewall. It should be 4 digits ending in 10 (week of manufacture then last 2 year digits 2710 would be the 27 th week of 2010. Only take tires made this year... cause the 5 year rule starts with the date of manufacture not the date first put into use.
