Call DISH

They walk you thru the set up in 10 minutes, OR, play around for 2 days like I did the first attempt, get really frustrated, curse a lot; then call.

Howdy All;

UN technical answer...

Easy, figure out where El Paso, Texas is from where you are...
point it to EP, Tx. then adjust for up & down......
For South Georgia, point due West, give or take a coupl'a degrees.

It is important to get it right if you are trying to pick up 2 or more sats. If you are only aiming at 1 sat. No need to skew.

Here is an online app to help you aim your dish. Simply input the local you want and it gives you the setting you need.

A cople of weeks ago we went to the Blackwater State Park in Holt, Fl. I got the Dish Network info for the skew, elevation and azimuth from an online site using the local zip code and preset the dish except for the azimuth. Once connected to the receiver and TV I got an immediate picture. I was using a three legged adjustable stand I got from CW. No cursing involved. It was probably accidental.
