2021 239ML, WDH selection
I am in the process of purchasing a 2021 239ML. GVWR is 5400. Tongue wait is falling between 450 and 750 pounds. So my question is do I choose a hitch rated for 6,000 or 8,000 pounds. Looking for something with 4 point sway control as well.

Welcome to the forum
I would get the equalizer E4 in the 800 pound rating. I believe it’s 600-800 range. And while your buying it, get the pads that quiet down the bars. You won’t regret your purchase.

Welcome to the forum Truck1. Here is a link to the trailer;
https://www.keystonerv.com/travel-tr...ravel-trailer/
Note the gvw of the trailer is 6430. With a .13% tongue weight it would come out to 836 lbs. In that case I would get an Equalizer 4 point hitch (owned one for years and it is great and reasonably priced). They do not offer 8k/800 as an option as far as I know. In that case I would go with the 10k hitch (doesn't hurt a thing) and the 1k bars (they will be just fine).
Here is a link that will help explain some of the weighting issues and hitch options. In reading, since you don't have the trailer nor a scaled weight, we use the gvw of the trailer to stay as safe as possible.

Welcome. Nice choice by the way. I have a 2020 239ML - weight is nearly identical. I used a 8000 WHD for a trip or two, then changed to a 10K hitch. Night and day. Simple as that. I use a Curt TruTrack 4 point. Almost half the cost of the Equalizer, but haven't used an Equalizer so I can't really say much about them one way or the other. However, they are the preferred brand here.
FYI - PM sent about your potential new camper...

Truck1 - There seems to be a discrepancy in the GVWR you showed for your trailer (5400), and that shown on the Keystone web site (6430). Where did you get your value?

Although I looked at the specs on the manufacture website a thousand times tithe 5400 is what all of the dealer websites list, the shipping weight remains the same but they list slightly different carrying capacities

I would go with the keystone site. Better to go with the GVW on the decal on the trailer itself, but if you don't see the trailer yet, then the keystone web site is second best (for estimation, anyway). That means the 6430 value.
Good luck in your search and it's really good you're doing this checking ahead of purchase. Not many do that.
