light socket replacement

So, I'm a believer in switching all over to LED bulbs. Apparently in the rear storage compartment, the light switch was bumped on and the bulb was left on until it burned out. Well, the heat blackened the socket, which caused it to break. I think the fixture is from Optronics. Has anyone had any ability to replace the socket? probably just as cheap to replace the entire fixture.

probably just as cheap to replace the entire fixture. I think you answered your own question. The heat may have also compromised the base of the fixture also. Sockets are available but to find the one to fit your fixture may be difficult. Look on-line for fixtures complete with LEDs, you may find something reasonable. JM2¢, Hank
