New member here!

Hello to all,

I'm new to the forum, but have been a camper for quite a while. Started out in a 4 man tent, then upgraded to a 6 man tent for two, then upgraded to a popup for a year, and now we're in a 2014 Passport 245RB.

I thought we were livin when we bought the popup, but the time and work it took to set up and take down got old quick. I should have bought the TT right from the get go but at the time I was driving a 2011 Ford Ranger 2WD and was concerned with it's ability to handle the TT as I didn't want to buy a new truck just to go camping. I was also concerned about not having any experience towing a trailer. As it turned out after having the popup for one season I broke down and traded in the Ranger for a 2013 F-150, 3.5 eco-boost with towing package, and acquired the 2014 Keystone Passport 245RB.

I have overcome my fear of towing now, and the F-150 pulls the Passport like it's no big deal. We've put over 1500 miles on the new truck and trailer on short weekend trips over the summer and now we're fixing to take a longer trip to Colorado in September. We live in Northern Illinois about 65 miles northeast of Chicago. It's just the wife and I with no kids or pets.

A Coleman pop-up was our second camper (1982-1986). We would never even consider going back!! Enjoy.

Started with grandpa in what he called an Okie box. He litterally built a wooden box on top of his old ford 1/2 ton. Come a long way since then. Happy Pulling!
