Bumpity Bumpity

Heading to Colorado Springs via I-70 Kansas to Colorado. As we got to the boarder I said to my wife, "cant really see any difference between Kansas and Colorado. They look the same!" Then the road completely changed. TOTAL DIFFERENCE!

I guess all that pot money is not going to roads. YMMV. YBWN (your bumps will not)

I just read this article this A.M. https://www.usatoday.com/story/money...part/37270513/
The ratings are a not targeted at roads as they list dams as well. I'd like to see the list correlated by roads and bridges only but at least they do break out the placing on each category. I guess there must have been and still is a shortage of shovels for all those "shovel ready" projects.

No one knows where all the taxes and pot money go in this state. They would have a breathing tax if we had more oxygen.

Well, there is always one thing you can count on.....if you give money to a government agency they will always find a way to spend it and need more, and never accomplish what they said they would in the first place with the FIRST payment you made to them.

In TX we started a lottery and the proceeds were to go to school funding. We have no state tax so the schools are funded through property taxes and the "then" new lottery tax. Well, they're raking in billions for the lottery but our school funding is faltering, so, what do we do? We send the Comptroller's office out to elevate all of the property values to raise the amount of money for the school districts....as the lottery money gets dribbled away for some other pet project somewhere....I suppose, and no, it won't be the highways.
