AMP Rating for 2650BH Passport Grand Touring TT

I am looking at a 2013 model. Does anyone know if I would have a 20 amp or a 30 amp service? The rv parks I am checking all seem to adjust their price based on the amp rating (electric cost probably) among other things. I'm a nexbie to Rv'ing.

Welcome to the forum ...... I think you will find that the campgrounds (CG) will offer 30amp or 50amp service. The Passport you are looking at is most likely 30amp but may come with optional 50amp (but I doubt it). Most CG power posts for 50amp will also have 30amp outlet and also have a 20amp outlet too. If you have 50amp and only 30 is available there are adapters you can use and it is a good idea to carry one.

RV's have either a 30A or a 50A service. In many of the "smaller" units, a 30A service is pretty much standard. If you are ordering a new unit, you might specify that you want a 50A rather than 30A. If the RV has numerous appliances and features that will require high amp use, 2 A/C's for example, then 50A would be the norm. Most of the larger, well-equipped RV's have 50A.

Almost all RV parks have provisions for 20A and 30A. Most but not all have 50. Best to check with the park before going if it has 50A.

That's basically the 2013 version of my model. It's 30A. But I do have a 20 amp adapter so I can plug it into a house outlet or my generator.
