Weighed in today

The weights above are with my 2012 Ram 3500 and my 2013 Cougar 28RBS. I weighed the tongue on a Longacre wheel scale and came up with 1030lbs. When I weighed the truck solo a few weeks ago, it tipped in at 8660. My GAWR on the truck's front axle is 5500 lbs and the rear axle is 9350. GVWR is 12300. GVWR on my trailer is 8200 and the GAWR is 4400 (each axle). How do these numbers look to the RV folks in this forum?

Looks like you have plenty of wiggle room on everything. Time for a bigger trailer. Enjoy and travel safely, Hank

I was very pleased with the balance on the front and rear axles of the truck. The WDH roughly redistributed my 1030 lbs of tongue weight by 1/3 of the total to my steering axle, 1/3 on my drive axle and 1/3 to my trailer axles.

I’m with Hank. If I had a 3500, I’d get a fifth wheel.

The balance looks nice, but it’s better to know what your unloaded axle weights are. WDH should bring the front close, but not under, what it is when unloaded.

I had no interest in a 5th wheel. I use the bed of my truck too much and did not want to be bothered with taking the hitch in and out. Nothing wrong with them, it just did not fit my particular bill. I needed a trailer no more than 32' to fit my campsite at the Richmond Raceway. I also wanted a separate door for the head to keep everybody from walking through my trailer. The Cougar 28 RBS was the perfect fit for all of my needs.

Looks like you are well within all the limits.
