Grill falls off!

We have been using the grill that came with our Laredo, and like the convenience of having it attached to the trailer (no need to drag out a table). However today it fell off! DH was coming out of the trailer and just the vibration (he's not heavy) of him coming down the steps caused it to fall off. He put it back and continued grilling but then when he went back to check on the food's progress it fell off again.
Did this happen to anyone else? Has anyone modified the attachment?
