What pop up screen house do you use?

We have one from Gander Mountain that we were very pleased with--until The Outter Banks put it to the test. Granted--most places wont have that sustained wind, but our first evening there saw us put the tent up only to find later in the evening that while the stakes did their thing and didn't budge--the tube framing of the tent was collapsing like a cheap suit. A few sites over, there tent didn't even move! They told me it was a "Quest" tent from Costco bought 12 years ago. I can't find it online. What do you use?

We've got a PaHaQue screen room, (more than $500) that does the same thing. It's in the pole barn and we bought a $59 Coleman. It's OK at best and still tends to "flex in the wind". Our next is going to be a "Clam Escape" from Gander Mountain. I saw one in a campground in North Dakota last week, 40+ MPH winds and it was still standing "sturdy"....

I found it online at Gander Mountain, but I'm sure it's available other places and probably cheaper too......

We do not have a screen room, just adds to set up and takedown time.

We have the gander mountain one as the original poster. We set it up the first day, we get to our site in Florida for the winter. Leave it up all season. We will just lower it down if high winds are predicted. Takes less than a couple of minutes. Then when high winds are gone just raise it back up. The legs are designed for that. Oh I have been to the outer Banks. That wind there is crazy. I would have left the screen room stored away there.

We have a Clam Pavilion. Love it. It stays up in wind without a problem (staked of course!) and is easy to set up and take down by one person when compared with my old 10'x10' awning from horse show days. That old bugger is heavy and not able to be set up when alone.

We have the Coleman Instant Screen House (10x10). Have used it a few times and it worked great. I'll admit the first time I set it up wasn't going well until I read the directions and realized I had it inside out (was setting it up like a regular tent with internal poles instead of external. Once I figured that out it was quick and easy with one person. Interesting note, the guy in the campsite next to me came over after I finished. Said he was watching me, he has the same tent and did the same thing the first time he set his up......geee thanks for the heads up, glad I could provide some entertainment!

I actually like the one we have--been pleased with it and it was all of $100. That said, You need something pretty beefy for the OBX--The wind was constant!

13 x 15 Instant Screened Canopy by Coleman - very large. It can be set up by one person, poles are permanently attached, and it literally goes up in a minute. We were sold on the permanent poles. We paid $100 for it a year ago. With the Wyoming wind, we do drop it down if the wind gets excessive, but you'll find that with any screen room.
