I do not know what the difference is between the 2. But, if you want to run a A/C and other stuff in a RV you need at least 3500 watts and 4,000 is what most use. I had a AF camper with build in genny of 3600 w. It worked fine here in the 80 to 90 temps but, when in CA. summer temps in the 115 range it could not keep up. I had to run the A/C on low.
