I always towed legal. Always said never a dually. Then wifey decided we needed a bigger 5er two campers back. She got her new 5er and I my new dually. It’s my daily driver! Love the 48 gallon main tank PLUS the auxiliary tank too. On my 3rd F350 drw. With a payload of 5598 there’s no overload concern and the 14,000 gvwr there is cushion.
NC plates plus tax comes to $503. One of the few states that don’t eliminate plate fees on trucks for 100% disabled vets. NC says they are vet friendly but not so much and far behind on 100% disabled vets.

I too am going from an F350 srw to an f450 dwr. The turning radius is better as well because of the wide front axel

Got the 450 last night. What a nice truck! Runs like a top, beautiful inside, no rips or tears. Really looking forward to getting out.....

We moved from Florida to Georgia in January and I was pleased to find that my drivers license (class A) and my vehicle tag is free because I'm a veteran.

Nice truck Blue!

I think NY charges me extra for not being a politically correct, tree hugging, let the other guy do it weenie.

Talking New Truck

Congrats on the new F450 truck. From what I understand, the frame and other parts of the F450 are much stronger than the F350 although the load capacity is less (for some reason). I think you will like it very much. Enjoy.

I'm looking to buy an F350 to upgrade from my Dodge 2500 since I use a truck camper and it is a bit heavy for my truck. I have upgraded the springs and shocks but it still should be better. I'm going with a gas engine since I don't drive nearly as much as I used to drive. Staying home is not nearly as much fun, but when the Dr's. want you to "visit" them frequently a person doesn't have much choice.

Have fun everyone.

I would love to move to an F450 DRW but there just flat out ain't none these days. I would even be willing to drop a year or two. At this point I'll just ride it out for another year.

You can always order one. Mine is supposed to be built any day now.
