I doubt it's any more than a 350, but hey, it's platinum right? Got some air bags, maybe an add a leaf, it's only a short trip, only carry 2 bottles of water, AND "it drives OK, can't even feel it"!! They don't have a clue and I see them every day unfortunately.

I'd like to see how he gets that 900 LB bike up there.
Looks like HD Ultra Classic.

I have a 2015 HD Ultra, so I know how heavy they are.

Yep...

It's scarey enough to ride a bike or even an ATV up a ramp into the bed. To ride a bike "up a ramp located above the bed rails ????? Now that takes a wee bit more "courage" than I could muster.... Actually, it would take a "helluva lot more courage than I've got".... Imagine half way up the engine dies or on the deck, the brakes fail... Heck, just putting down the kickstand and getting off the bike would be "intimidating enough for a 6 pack".....

Maybe a removable winch, so your not driving it up the ramp?

I’m thinking a ramp. When we were at Sturgis in ‘09 I saw lots of bikes behind the cab of trucks pulling big fivers.

That looks like a "pre 2017 SuperDuty"... There's no "PowerStroke emblem" on the driver's door, so that may be a 6.2l gas engine... That would explain the "creeping along with a long line behind him"....

It also looks like he's got "saddle tanks" behind the bed fenders in front of the rear tires. We had two 30 gallon tanks on our 72 Dodge pickup. I cried when they cut the holes in the fenders to put in the doors to fill the tanks.... They were supposed to have ordered the tanks with "rear fill" that you could access from the wheelwell, but they screwed up and I didn't find out about the mistake until I went back to pick up the truck and saw the two "extra shiny squares" on the bed fenders.... Can you spell B A L L A S T I C ????? I was about 25, significantly easier to get angry and usually unable to control my temper... I almost went to jail that afternoon LOL

DUH !!!!! For some reason, I completley overlooked the "regular fuel tank door" on the bed sidewall. Forget the saddle tank "guess"... Damn, it's hell to get old ROFL

Jasin, better description of creeping along, Please. Somewhat large 5er, and a pretty heavy bike. That and either de-bagged TV. Is that a flat road or were you on a grade.

It looks like possibly a hydraulic ram under the HD front wheel, so most likely ties the bike on the rack & hydraulicly it folds up into the bed.
I'd bet he's overloaded the payload by at least the weight of the Harley! Maybe 2 Harleys!!
They've probably put F450 springs under it with airbags & heavier tires so it's now a F450! If you can turn a F250 in a F350 by swapping springs it should be the same doing it to a 350 with 450 parts (tongue in cheek).

My question is how on earth does he turn without smashing his $30k motorcycle against the front cap?!?

You guys think his payload is bad, you really need to visit Oregon and watch the guys headed to the dunes…. 35’ bumper pull toy haulers with the over bed racks carting a full size rzr. Usually lifted trucks rolling coal

Having been to hundreds of motorcycle events at the race track, there’s a vast range of skills to be observed. At trackdays watching guys load their bikes is most similar to watching a boat ramp on Saturday morning. On a race weekend watching guys load is more similar to watching the blue angels, calculated and practiced.

With that said, I’ve never once seen anyone crazy enough to put their bike in a pinch zone.

What is scary is some guy (not to be named...) driving down the road with camera in hand capturing this stuff and driving at the same time!

I bet that Super Duty has 6000 lb payload because it is a PLATINUM therefor made of super alloy metal and has helium in the tires.

You have a valid point George…I do keep my iPhone in a holder, charger so it’s easy to get to and I just fire off a spray pattern of shots…I took thirteen pictures to get those shots …I don’t really look ,I just aim the phone in the general direction and have my thumb on the shutter button.

But yes your right it’s is a distraction…it’s like fish stories without pics though…I will get my wife to take them going forward.

There are many people who when told "It can't be done" are determined to prove that it can. Some of those folks become famous pioneers and inventors. Some are maimed or killed and many just die broken in spirit and body.

I recall the first time I drove over the Royal Gorge Bridge in CO. The man built that magnificent bridge that everyone said couldn't be built. It had no practicality as the other side was a turn around. Seemed to me it was a lot of money and effort to prove a point. Yes I know the full story but there it is. His monument in history remains.

Some folks just blindly "go into" a project with total ignorance and blind faith. Their monuments are often twisted steel temporarily residing in a junkyard.

I have no idea how he loads or unloads that bike but obviously he did. I don't know if or how he makes a tight turn, my guess? Even with a sliding hitch he wouldn't make the turns in most campgrounds or fuel stops. But who knows? Maybe he doesn’t stop for fuel and only goes to one place he found with wide turns.

Doesn’t matter to me. When I see something like that I just give them a wide berth and say a prayer for their safety. When I was young I would deer hunt in WV with a cousin. Twice driving back to MD I witnessed a logging truck wreck after "running away" going down a mountian. One was over the edge, about 500' of air, then nose dive. The other was no making a turn and running into the rack face. In both cases, the load broke loose and let's just say it wasn't pretty. That's what I think about when I see large bikes and ATV's mounted above the bed of a pickup truck.
