How about these LED lights?

How about these guys?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/20x-T10-W5W-...4a0ff1&vxp=mtr

I want them to be just as bright or brighter than oem lights that are in there now. Will these be good?

I wouldn't, those are just little ones for your car or truck marker lights.
If you look at the bottom of the ad you'll see the dimensions of them and they're really small.

If you are using a cylindrical or round type of LED assembly in a vertical light fixture (similar to one with a shade around it) you'll be OK. If, however you plan to use this type LED in a "pancake" ceiling fixture, it will not emit as much light. LED's are directional in nature, they emit light straight ahead. When installed in an overhead fixture, a part of the light shines up into the fixture and when reflected, hits the opaque LED assembly and is absorbed, not transmitted into the room. A conventional light bulb emits light in 360 degrees, and any reflected light shines through the bulb and onto surfaces outside the light fixture. LED's can't do that.

A much better choice for ceiling light fixtures is one like these. Your choice, of course, but you'll get much better results with a LED assembly that emits all the light into the room.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/10x-T10-194-...item27bcfef4a6

Both of the above LED assemblies use 2010 SMD LED's which produce about 8 lumens each, so the 36 LED array will produce about 50% more light than the 24 LED array. Both are good for different places in the RV. A reading light in the bedroom vs a TV light in the living area are two examples of places where different intensity LED assemblies would work to enhance lighting.
There are a number of the panel type LED assemblies that have from 24 to 48 LED’s per panel. Depending on the type of LED SMD2010, SMD3650 or SMD 5050 (for example) each individual LED on the panel will emit a different amount of light (lumen)

The pictures accompanying this post illustrate the panel vs the pancake light.

Note that both of the above examples are "warm white" meaning they fall in the 2600-3500K color temperature range. They are closest to the light produced by conventional light bulbs. Hotter LED's in the 6000-7000K color temp range produce purplish/bluish light which is much "harsher" in color. Many people find the hotter lights to be harder on the eyes.

I'm not sure on the pancake ones but some of the panel lights you have to be careful with. They do not have a voltage regulator and end up running really hot because they are receiving over 12 volts, almost as hot as an incandescent light. Also some of those China ebay panel lights have a max operating range of 12 volts so running over 12 (which when batteries usually are fully charged and when plugged in to shore power) will reduce the life of the led. You can add a voltage regulator and be ok but it will now not be a plug and play.

Travis

Edited for additional information.

Thank you very much. Yes these leds will be for the pancake style ceiling lights. Glad you educated me about this before I wasted my money and ended up not happy. I am a complete noob at this so sorry for all the questions.

I've had really mixed results buying things from China. Problem is, even Amazon has some sellers from there - you don't know until you see the shipping information. Anyway, the place I've been getting mine is here http://filamentfree.com/shop/page/1?...qJ&shop_param=

May cost a little more and the LEDs may be made in China, but the owners of this store are great to work with and stand behind what they sell.

I have also purchased a few of these COB LEDs

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lot-10x-7W-C...3D261409537176

purchased lots of LED lights off of ebay from China (for the house, camper and shop)
if I did have a problem they fixed it, very happy with the LED lights, service and price from China.
Also your protected threw ebay and paypal

Also going to install a Voltage Regulator for the LED lights

I don't know how big that regulator is but you could use L7812 ones that you can get in bulk on ebay pretty cheap. The big problem is each light fixture would need one and wiring it up is why it takes a little longer but they are right at the light so if it quits working it will most likely be that led or that regulator and not cause the rest to shut down too if it was the regulator.

The one you posted would be great if all your lights are on the same power source and you can get to it right after the fuse for them. Might not be hard but I don't know on mine or others how the lights are wired in. Might have to look into that. Again the only problem I see is if that regulator fails now all won't work if it doesn't pass power through. So easy access to it would be key.

Walt, The cheapest LED assembly shown on the link you posted is $9.95. Most are $12.95. For that price you can buy 5 on EBay. There may be some "bad LED assemblies" being shipped from China, but I've ordered over 100 from EBay Chinese vendors and never got a bad one. I suppose it really comes down to whether you want to buy from EBay and have it shipped from China or if you want to spend 500% more for one made in China and shipped from the US. As stated, anyone who has had a problem with an EBay seller's product has received prompt attention to resolve the issue, but again, I've never had a bad one shipped from a Chinese EBay vendor.

Travis
lots of good points
I have 3 of them coming in, so if one goes I still have lights
how and where, is going to be the fun part lol

going to have a good look at these L7812
the L7812 would work great for those LED lights that are wired in with something else (example LED light and the fridge or pump)

I have bought over 30 LED's from eBay sellers out of China and have had zero problems with them. Last spring I bought a lot of 20 of those 24 LED pancake lights from a seller and put them throughout the camper. Forgot how much I paid but it was really cheap. Shipping was long but worth it. The lights were a tighter fit in the socket than I cared for but they went in. The light is not as bright as the incandescent counterparts but I actually like it. I just bought a couple of 36 LED panel lights on eBay to check them out as well for $8.50 shipped.

The other ones that I got in a pack of 20 I no longer have on my e-Bay as they delete after 90 days. But here is a link to the same ones I have.
