I’m from Maine, born and raised. I left there when I was 17 years old, joined the US Navy when I was 18 and retired 31 years later. I have a lot of family still living in ME & NH and have always made a point to visit the area a couple of times a year.
I was born at South Berwick, ME. My mother preferred to not have her children born at home and that was the closest place with a maternity shelter. North Berwick was our home and my home town. S. Berwick is bordered by Berwick which is bordered by N. Berwick. Berwick is the only one with a RV Park/CG. So, it’s where I park when visiting family.
Beaver Dam is a typical New England CG, family owned and operated with the owners living on property. They open sometime in early May and close in the first week of October.
We always make reservations there, way in advance so we can park in one of the larger sites atop the incline with FHU. It also gives us open sky for dish TV reception. The larger towns/cities close by with shopping malls are; Dover, NH and Sanford, ME.
The link below is active and fully describes the CGs amenities. The pictures show one of the sites we often reserve. It’s a long back-in with plenty of room. The pictures can be enlarged when you click on them.
