Can't pull the cover on led dome lights!

Just got a keystone bullet crossfire 1900rd. Was going to up grade the lighting over the dining room table. The light seems like the lenses don't seem to budge and the cover is on solid I don't see any tabs or any way to access the screws I assume are under there holding unit to the ceiling. Anyone know how tho get this thing off the ceiling? Much appreciated!

Post a picture of the fixture. Someone will know how to open it.

Try rotating one way or the other. Some of the first LED lights weren't serviceable, but hopefully the newer ones are.

I've twisted, pulled tried to pry the lens off with a screwdriver. I've attached a picture of the fixture. The lenses are just about flat on the fixture so do not think they slide and no way to pop them off by compressing the lense. So somehow the whole cover must come off. I just don't want to break it or damage the ceiling.

I bet the lens pops out. My guess is one tab at the tip and two at the switch end.

Or 4 tabs, two on each side.

In the picture it looks like there is a small opening on the clear lens just to the right of the switch. If so, a small screwdriver and pry open? Like Chuckster, I'd strongly suspect that the lens comes off. My guess is two tabs on each side.....

Other than what Chuckster57 stated which would be my guess OR can not tell by picture is the main light frame (white) split were the frame comes apart. Even if can not get to bulb there has to be attached to the ceiling with screws have to get them them. Do you know if that light is LED??

Presto! Success! There were 4 tabs just needed a little brut force and a screwdriver. Popped right off. Exposing the screws. Thanks for all the help. Case closed.

I had one that wasn't fully seated and yes a small flat blade was able to pop it out. I turned one by my dinette and it probably took me 10 minutes to work the screwdriver to pop the lens cover. They don't make them easy any more.

Maybe you and Paraptor can get together and you can help him get the cover off his halogen fixture.

Out of sight/out of mind.....

There's something to be said about those "free" WalMart shopping bags and a "bread wrapper twist tie" to hold it in place......

Hey, Maverick! My husband and I are new owners of a used 2018 Sprinter Campfire and we have the same lights shown in your picture, and we also are having a difficult time getting the cover off.

Would you be so kind as to tell me where you placed the screwdriver to get the dome lid off?

Thanks in advance for your help!

This thread is over 3 years old. You would probably get a better response if you start a new thread with your questions.
