Extension ladder mount

Does anyone carry an extension ladder mounted to the underside of the trailer? It looks like there is a lot of room for one above the axles.

I stow/carry this ladder https://www.campingworld.com/7%27-do...der-20319.html
In a 5” vinyl fence post next to a second vinyl fence post for my sewer hose under our FW.

If you are talking about above the axel's and parallel to the length of the trailer then I have 2 things to consider. 1) How would you secure it? Typically there are gray and blank tanks in the area above the coroplast.
2) You would have to crawl under the trailer to access it.

True on both items.

It folds nicely. 25lbs is light. I am at the capacity of the ladder.
Do you think it is sturdy?

I use a 12.5' telescoping ladder and it stores to about 2 1/2' and is plenty sturdy to allow my chubby tail to climb comfortably. I store mine in the front compartment on my fiver with a couple of camp chairs. It only weighs 25 lbs. I also use the ladder for home jobs as well as it is a lot easier to haul around than other ladders I own.

I also have this ladder and I am slightly over the stated capacity and it is still very sturdy. I use mine all the time.

Well, I just bout the Lionladder 12.5. It is 30 lbs but it should hoist my fat arse!
I have to tell you that I have NOT had good luck with ladders over the years. I broke two ladders in one day and dropped a nail gun onto my head when erecting a pole barn. Those cheezy aluminum ladders are rated for 150 lbs (!) I do have two of those aluminum extension ladders around but I beefed them up by installing a 2x4 section between the bottoms of the legs. This is where failure has let me down! I hope the Lionladder pans out. we'll see...

Mister, we need to start a virtual sumo wrestling contest! I keep getting called by the sumo guys in Japan but have to keep explaining I am so old and fat that if I fell over they would have to winch me out of the ring or mat or whatever they use. My extension ladder is 300 lb weight limit and one more donut and I will put it to the test bwhahahaha

I am 5'10" as well and weighted 220 when I was under 40 years old and had under 10 percent body fat. Today I am quite a bit older and heavier so 220 won't get you in the sumo league!

I bought that exact same ladder to go in the new 5th wheel but......forgot to put it in for this trip! Still have the folding 7' that slow linked to which I like a lot; it's just awful short for this 5th wheel. When I opened up that Lionladder it seemed pretty robust so figure you'll be fine with it.

I am totally happy with it after 3 uses. It is a little weird to extend the ladder from the bottom-up. You have to tip the ladder horizontal for full extension and then tip it upward. No big deal I guess.

I bought one of those 12.5' extending ladders and I like it so far. It's a little heavy and bulky, but I feel safe using it.
