Crooked Awning Blowing Fuse
Hello fellow RVers!
A while back my husband sideswiped a tree branch on a tight turn and it bent our fully retracted awning out of alignment. Despite the bent arms, for about a year we were still able to roll the awning in and out electronically- it wasn’t pretty but it worked.
Now, when we try to extend it, the 15A fuse blows. I’m assuming the motor is just now upset we’re repeatedly putting it under additional stress.
My question: is there any chance we can straighten the arms somehow (would that fix the overload issue)? Or should I just bite the (Keystone) Bullet and shell out for a new awning?
What would you do?
Signed,
A frugal, handy, but pregnant lady
