Wiper Seal Replacement
I have a 2006 Laredo 26rk and need a replacement wiper seal for the slide. I measured the existing seal and can't find a match. They are all too small.
My existing seal is 3 3/4" wide, 2 3/4" is the actual wiper and 1" is the u shaped clip to attach it. Has anyone has experience using a smaller seal?
Thanks!

Welcome to the forum
What type of slide is it? If its a cable slide the wiper seal sits in a track and if its not installed correctly you will have that issue. Otherwise you can apply a small strip of non skip tape to the top and bottom of the sidewall to "flip" the seal.

Hi thank you for replying.
It’s the cable slide, it’s the wiper seal on the top of the slide. It fold in at the corners

If its the TOP seal, then you need to glue the side sweeper to the top sweeper.
I use super glue. Clean both surfaces real good, apply glue and clamp. Weatherstrip glue also works. TOP seal should be ON TOP of the sweeper seal.
You dont want any non skid tape on the roof.

Hi question about my slide, when my slide is retracted in the rubber seal that is on the top of it looks like it comes off, it’s the seal that is behind the cabinets in the kitchen. I can’t get at it because of the cabinets, any idea on how to get the seal pushed back in without having to remove all the cabinets

You can extend the slide out about 6 inches to inspect from the outside on a ladder. Since it’s a cable slide you can remove the top facia easily and extend the slide about 3/4 of the way out.

Is it ok to lay on the slide roof when it’s slid in? That seems like the only way I can get at the seal that I need to push back in

Ok so the only way to get at that is from the outside. Do you think that the rubber seal on the inside if not on properly would let water in

Don’t remove any trim on the exterior. Extend the slide about 6 inches and then use a ladder to inspect the outside seal.
Remove to top INNER facia, then extend the slide about 3/4 of the way out. The top layer is held on with brads and the bottom layer is held on with squarehead #2 screws. Make note of the position of each piece.

Then the BEST and EASIEST WAY to inspect/repair is what I described.
If your uncomfortable doing it, have a mobile RV tech come out or take it in to a repair facility.
