Out of stater's should not be concerned *UNLESS* you have an obvious modified and LOUD exhaust system. You may be stopped but you can use the "I am from ?? where this is legal" excuse.

The trick is to not be obvious. Load exhaust, rolling coal, burnouts, are all attention getters to the CHP.
yeah like i said i never heard of it before so that’s the only reason i even looked it up after the other day when the youtube video popped up….The video i saw i think the guy drove in from Nevada …the other ones i posted i didnt look at because i just did a quick search but you live there so im sure you know better then me…The last mildly high performance car we had (wife) was a r/t challenger with a stick and trackpak…lots of fun..she has a little g37 hardtop convertible that has the 370Z engine which is sporty enough for her now but we leave that parked most of the time and only drive it occasionally…I’ve never been one to modify new vehicles and my diesel truck isn’t deleted but it sure is tempting…..I sure wish i never sold my 2005 5.9 Cummins…..i’m sure it’s still chugging along somewhere getting over 20 mpg…love to have for a local beater truck

There are so many smog modified trucks licensed in CA that go unnoticed that an out of state one is not a problem.

This sounds like another form of CA bashing.

Are we saying that the personal "experience/opinion" then translates to 'it's OK" and folks shouldn't worry about CA and their off the charts regs? I think real life, current events, due diligence, law review and simply observing what CA does, says and will do, warrants anyone from out of state to hold the possibility of falling into their zillions of legal traps as a very real possibility.
