Main slide wont come out motor just pops

So yet another issue with my new to me Fuzion 325.

We get to the camp ground and the main slide wont go out. It just makes a loud popping sound, I looked up top and the motor isnt turning. We finally muscled it out while pushing it and holding the motor in the out position.

Seems to come in fine but out just pops and motor doesnt want to spin just pops like the gears are stripping.

It is a cable slide.

Any insight?

Could be the gearbox. If it’s new, you need to call the dealer and schedule a drop off for warranty repairs.

No it's used. No warranty. Wouldnt it not come in or out if it's the gear box?

It seems to come in fine.

It is odd that it comes in fine. I haven’t taken a BAL slide motor/ gearbox apart to see how they operate. Maybe a call to BAL on Monday may be your best bet.

I noticed the bottom seems to not be out all the way but the top is.

Maybe the bottom cable is loose and the top is pulling out first causing it to slide crooked and jam up. Coming in since the bottom is supported by the floor it slide in.

Will they and investigate more in the daylight
