Slide dragging floor
We have a 2017 Keystone Cougar 327RLK. The large slide with the refrigerator, stove, loveseat is dragging on the floor to the point that it has torn the floor and popped some of the trim on the inside. We noticed this when extending the slide recently and we noticed it did not fully extend, so we tried to move it back in and the flooring was torn, etc. We will most likely try to retract the slide and take it in for service, but are afraid of causing even more damage. We removed some of the interior trim around the slide to see if we could find a broken cable, etc, but are unable to see much. When this unit was brand new, we took it to a dealer for service and they tore up the floor, resulting in them having to remove the slides multiple times to replace the floor twice. It has never been exactly "right" ever since, making noise when going in and out, etc., despite repeated attempts at fixing this. The slide seems to have dropped significantly, resulting in the current damage. We cannot easily see any broken cables, etc., but are wondering if anyone has any idea what, if anything, we can look for as a possibly cause so we can at least retract the slide without destroying anything else.
Thank you for your help!

To get an idea of what might be done to mitigate the issue, you will need to let the tech savvy folks on this site know what type slide you have. Youtube is your friend. Most types of slides have adjustments that can be made.

Since you say you look d and didn’t see any broken cables, I’m thinking it’s the BAL accu slide. That slide runs on a “wear bar” and it almost sounds like the wear bar has failed.
You need to find an rv service center that can properly diagnose the issue and address it. Make some calls and ask how much experience they have with that system, how long have the techs been working in the rv industry.
You don’t want a couple of greenhorns fixing your issues.

If you have cables it's an AccuSlide. If so the cables are visible on not only the ends of the slides but inside as well. First indicator would be the tension on the cables on the ends of the slides; is one pretty tight and the other with about 1/2" play or is there a big droop in one or both?
If the slide is hitting the floor something has let it drop, either cables or wear bar. Here is a link to a video that gives a bit of explanation on a cable slide;
It's a general overview but there are others that get more detailed in explanation as well as trouble shooting. You will need to do some investigation to determine probable cause unless you want to pay a dealership to do it.

Ours had a similar issue and the outriggers on the frame had to be replaced. Good luck, ours was under warranty but when this happened it messed up the gears. Keystone approved the outriggers however, refused to fix the problem created because the outriggers failed. They have had camper since October...Good luck.

Maybe consider placing a piece of carpet with the nap side down, under the front edge of the slide out to protect the flooring, so you can retract fully for travel to dealer.
