Slide motor?

2015 Keystone Sprinter. Main slide is having a hard time going out. When you hit the button you can see the cables get tension, but then it sounds like automatic gunfire and the slide doesn’t move. Any ideas before I spend an arm and a leg on a mobile mechanic?

What you described sounds like a failed gear-drive box on the slide motor assembly. Not too terrible to fix yourself depending on technical ability and having tools on hand. Much easier to tackle if the slide is out.

Parts are not too expensive, but a mobile tech will likely be a bit pricey.

How would I go about doing that? Slide is unfortunately all the way in. Is there a way to manually pull the slide in and out?

While operating the button for the slide, you can push on the slide.
