What do you think about this repair?

I had some major damage done to my Bullet preimier last fall. About 6300.00 worth. A piece of metal came off a truck on the highway. I missed it with the truck but it took out 2 tires holes in the floor holes in the slide fender skirts. Really not pretty

Well I take it to a place and they repaired it and I never really looked at the underside where the skirts attach until I have this bracket flapping in the wind. I would think the metal should run all the wat down the skirt and the bracket of material that would actually hold

Trying to get a few opinions
