Welcome from Utah.
We have a bumper on our Cougar and find it isn't worth much. Curious what you would want with a bumper?

Welcome to the forum. Regarding your question, with enough money just about anything CAN BE DONE, question you have to ask yourself is SHOULD IT BE DONE. I'd suggest you take it to a good welding shop and first get an estimate. Then realize that you're likely going to forfeit any remaining frame warranty. Then there's the asthetics and will it harm the value at sale or trade in.

Can I ask why you want a rear bumber?

I think you would be better seved with a cargo rack on that 2" receiver. If you get one of the cargo racks that fold you can raise it after you take off the gate to get it out of the way.

After you add a carrier of any kind use more than you think you need to secure it and it's load. Anything back there will bounce and wiggle like an ongoing earth quake the whole time the vehicle is moving.
Many do not realize the abuse the stuff carried back there will take.
Last camp, as I was leaving I noted a TT with a carrier on the rear. Loaded with a couple of totes and wooden leveling blocking stacked on those. 1 strap going across the whole load. Seen to many of those losing a block or two and soon the whole cargo ends up on the road. Radio calls of falling chairs, bicycles, firewood, totes onto the road was common during the summer from the rear of TTs and 5ers.

Marshall is spot on. We had a receiver installed so we could use a cargo/bike rack. The bumper was never designed for carrying anything other than the stinky slinky
IMHO use the receiver and cargo rack and forget the bumper.

I believe it was one of our members that made the observation that you don't load up a bunch of stuff like on some sort of rear carrier where you can't see it. I'm with that sentiment. Too many things can happen on that bouncing, hopping carrier way back there behind the RV. Might be a bit better with a camera in the back but for normal purposes I wouldn't carry anything back there.

315rls

Flyboy Marshall is correct, just dont overload the rack and secure what is there, Keep it simple and light.
We use a ATV 2" recr size cargo rack from Sportsmans Guide. Also have a Furrion rear view camera to keep track
