New Alpine 5th wheel—fresh water fill

I recently Purchased an alpine RL3220 fifth wheel.

On the second trip out we needed to fill the freshwater tank at the campground and was unable to get water to go in. We tried all the valve positions possible. Called the dealer who confirmed that we had the valves in the FILL position.

Has anyone else experienced a problem filling the freshwater tank on a new alpine unit?

There is only one valve to flip... just make sure that you have the hose turned off when switching the valve.. the one marked with an arrow...

You also must have the hose connected to the City/Fill inlet. Have you used the rig in a park with water available and had water flow with a hose connected? Occasionally, if the rig hasn't been used for a while, the check valve in the water inlet can get stuck closed and a screwdriver carefully inserted can loosen the valve.

When we use city water port everything works fine.
Second trip out I hooked hose to city port and then switched valve with X from normal to fill and after 45 mins tank gage showed zero.

I opened drain port at rear of camper (bottom) with ball valve and less than a quart came out…

I went to back of panel and traced lines to a diagram I found on this forum and my piping appears to be correct.

I will cut line to tank to check that the fill valve works.
If it’s not the valve ... it’s likely a pinched line after the fill valve. [/I][/B]

To trace the fill line to tank will require that the belly skin be removed and it won’t be easy due to the way it is fastened (half tek screws and half fasteners shot shrough with cartridge)

Thanks for the replies.

I have the same camper. I used a sharpie marker and labeled my valves to make it easier for myself. I also labeled each gray water tank.
