TT Bearing Buddies

Is it possible/practical to put Bearing Buddies on 2018 Cougar 22RBS TT axles?

No need. There is a zerk fitting on the end of the spindle.

If you use the zerk, you have no idea if your pushing grease past the seal at the inner bearing. If that happens you will contaminate your shoes, drums and magnets and your brakes won’t work.

Your choice, I think they are best for boat trailers. With that said it’s more practical in my opinion to take the drums off and have a look see at least once a year.

Yes it is possible. If you install them be very carefull. When you pump grease in them it will take a lot of grease to fill the void in the middle of the hub between the bearings. But when the spring in the Bearing Buddies starts to compress STOP PUMPING. You should also see grease coming toward you from the Bearing Buddy weep hole.
It is really not much different than the EZ LUBE except it is designed to maintain very slight pressure in the hub.
I have had them on boat trailers with no issues. When the warm hubs are submerged in cool water instead of the temperature change sucking in water, the spring will relax and maintain some pressure.
Go for it and let us know how it works for you.

After more thought....if I planned to do this I would consider the following...
Tear the hubs down, replace the seals. When you install the seals use quality seals, i.e., Chicago Rawhide (CR), National, etc., not a parts house generic seal. Use a seal with a coil spring to maintain pressure on the elastomer. Put 3-4 DROPS of Loctite on the outside diameter of the seal. It will be difficult to remove the seals in the future. Before installing the seals, pack the bearings and fill the void in the center of the hub with a quality synthetic grease.
Re-install the hubs and pump grease in the hub through the Bearing Buddy.

It would be my advice to avoid the Bearing Buddies like the Cleveland Browns avoid drafting a receiver! They are only suitable for boat trailers. As was suggested, take the assemblies down once a year and grease them yourself.

Or, if you want to get serious about hubs, get these:
