About to GO Full Time

We are in the process of going RVing Full time! We are wanting a 5th wheel Toy Hauler. What are your recommendations for a 5th Wheel Toy Hauler for full Timing in? Thanks in advance for all your assistance?

This will depend on three things that quickly come to mind: What you can afford, what your needs are, and the ability of your tow vehicle.
Hopefully you have not already purchased your TV. That in itself tends to be one of the most limiting factors. Always buy the RV first, and the TV to last, insuring the ability of the truck to handle the job.
Fill us in a little with some pertinent info.

We looked at toy hauler when we 1st retired & went full-time 10+ years ago, here's our opinion.
We did not have toys to haul, only a couple of bicycles & thought the extra room would be great as a sort of hobby room/workshop, that part would've worked great. The drawback was it made the living area seemed cramped with the tv about 9' up in a corner at 90 degrees from limited seating areas. By cramped I mean the 2 of us moving around felt crowded with not much room for guest to sit or stand.
Since we've looked a newer ones they've improved the living areas quite a bit, but still feel broken up & small.
Another consideration is if it has a rear or side drop down patio, unless you plan to only boondock you will find VERY few parks that are long/wide enough to use them. Also if you're any thing like us you'll quickly find boondocking regularly will get old & looking for places with more amenities, basically saying you'll want to be "living in" your RV more & not "camping" as much.
Size does matter also, you'll be at 40'+ of RV which will eliminate the majority of state/national parks, they weren't built or designed for RVs of this size, not just THs.
If you're hauling a motorcycle or other larger toys the TH is your only choice, but shop closely to find the best of both, garage & living area.

It looks like you joined the forum in 2013 and at that time, posted that you own a 2013 Fuzion toy hauler. If that is correct, you should have 6 years of experience using that floorplan, that tow vehicle and that "camping experience" to personalize how you use your RV. You can use that experience to "personalize" what you want and (more importantly) what you DO NOT want in a full time RV.

Take the comments posted here as suggestions, but most of all, take your own experiences over the last 6 years as you search for the "right full time unit" for the future. They (RV manufacturers) make hundreds of floorplans, sizes, options and price ranges for toy haulers. They do that because no "one specific trailer" is right for everyone. Spend time reflecting on your own experience with your Fuzion as the most important factors in what you select for the next one...... GOOD LUCK !!!!!
