Super Glide Hitch to Reese

I am purchasing a new F-350 super duty and it comes with the 5th wheel package. I have also purchased the reese hitch.

My old dodge shortbed used a Pull Right Superglide.

Question is, do I just need to remove the receiver plate from 5th wheel king pin?

Thanks!

Absolutely! - The capture plate won't work with the Reese hitch. The capture plate keeps the trailer from rotating on the kingpin. The Pullrite Superglide turned on its own axis. ith the Reese, you want the trailer to swivel around on the kingpin.

Awesome! Thanks!

Getting ready to put the hitch, capture plate and rails up for sale.

Try and recoup some costs

Personally I would rather have the Pull Rite.

I agree. I do like the pull rite hitch, but with a long bed, I don't need an auto slide anymore. I also do not want to drill any holes and avoid the rails.
