Hello from Riverside CA

Took the plunge today and bought our first RV. Got the Keystone Cougar. Looking forward to taking it out. Now we need to get a tow vehicle. Looking forward to spending time here learning about RVing.

I missed this post and replied to a comment that you posted to another thread, but again, let me say welcome. Secondly, and as I said on the other thread, this is just my opinion, with respect to purchasing a truck, buy more truck than you think that you need. You will greatly appreciate it when encountering crosswinds, passing tractor trailers, step upward inclines as well as stopping power on the downhill side. This decision will also allow you the ability to move up to a larger trailer in the future without having to give any consideration to the truck. This is a great opportunity for you to make that decision, you don't have a tow vehicle yet. Enjoy that new camper!

Welcome to the forum & congrats on your new camper.

Tow vehicles are very important to match up to your camper.
And if you have big hills, or mountains, the I would definitely
get more truck then I think I need. RV dealers will say you can
tow a 40 footer with a VW.......so get what you need!

I lived in Riverside for 32 years ... Moved to Michigan ... Love the summer but hate the winters...
