New Members 245RB... we think... ;-)

Hello all,

We presently own a 19ft Jayco that we've not really liked for almost as long as we've had it (6 years). It's the floorplan we hate, but really, at 19 feet, it doesn't really stand a chance, does it now? HATE having to pull down the dinette each night for sleeping space. When we bought it our two youngest were 7 and 12. The oldest of those two (we have two others out of the house) doesn't camp with us anymore and the youngest isn't going to much longer, so...

We are probably trading it in for a Passport 245RB. We are torn between it and the 2300BH, but leaning hard toward the first. Still have to make the sofa bed every night (when anyone even comes with us), but that's a lot easier than the dinette. Love the idea of the bunks in the 2300BH. Decisions, decisions...

We just don't want to mess it up this time. We were in such a hurry when we bought the Jayco (actually lived in it for two months while waiting for military housing to open at West Point).

Any advice so that we don't have buyer's remorse would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Dan and Jean

My wife has always lived by the rule we need to sleep everyone without using the table or couch so the beds are alway ready. This has worked for us and we have a bunk house even though our youngest is off to college. He camped with us most of the summer. Our 24 yo tents with us and if the weather is real bad we have space for him. Sorry to hear your 13 yo does not go with you much. Good luck and I hope you pick a TT that you love.

Thanks, Gary. The two at home now are 14 and 19. The 19-year old just plain doesn't like camping... I know, right? We don't get it either, lol.
We are still really torn, but leaning toward the 245rb. We figure when they do come with us, there's still room and it's SO much easier than the set up we had in the Jayco.
Waiting for the Jayco title to come in from the bank. Learned the hard way not to make the pay off on your own. Who knew it would cost us a week? There's no rush though and it gives us some breathe time to mull it over more.
