We live in the greatest place, despite what some would say or do and have much to be thankful for.

Peggy and I are in TN and all of the rest of our families are north, mostly IL, but some scattered across the country. We usually travel back there, but this year, her brother and his wife came this way...on their way to Florida for a few days. We were glad to have them and it was a small group...just the four of us. It was certainly nice to not have to drive 500 miles each way back to IL and home, just we still had family to spend the holiday with!

BTW.....the 8lb turkey breast took about 5 full hours to cook.....I like to keep it in the 250 degree range on the smoker....and it was the best one yet of any that I've smoked...and I think this was number 5.

Jim,

You guys have a safe trip coming down. We've had some heavy rains off and on but I think it's supposed to be clear for the next several days.
