My Screen Door Mods
We have 2 very large and rambunctious dogs that we have not been able to train to not jump up on the doors. Needless to say the screens were no match for their claws.
So I replaced all of the screens this spring and added screen guards to the doors. I think they came out pretty good and so far they are working to protect the screens.
I also got my shades installed in my windows. Wow what a difference! All in all a really great group of mods.

I bought these. Had to cut the ends off of the tabs, drill new holes and then notch the frame of my screen door so it would close. I used self tapping bolts but could have used flat head screws and that may have avoided the notching.

Hard to believe "a rambunctious Jack Russell"  Has anyone tried the pet screen, get it from local hardware store. Some heavy stuff, do not think nails will rip it ,pushing it out from dogs weight ??

I use that pet screen on the house. It sort of works to slow them down, but had the cats claw it apart on the corner of the sliding patio screen. It's a deterrent, but it won't stop them.

I've got a piece of white plastic velcroed to the bottom half of my screen door. I hav Westies, so the top half is safe. We can't see out the bottom anymore, but that's not been an issue.
Your mod does look cleaner.
