Firestone Rite Hite Airbags

I would like to install a set of Firestone Airbags. The truck is a 2008 dodge Ram 3500 DRW one ton. I am using a B&W Companion hitch, has anyone else used this combination, or know of any fitment problems. It looks as the kit is drill less, and all you do is remove the factory jounce bumper and bolt the airbag bracket in it's place. Is the companion hitch going to get in the way?

A goose neck hitch attachment under the bed would be in the way where the bags attach to the frame. Check from the seller before you buy.

Not all years are bolt on like the later model trucks. Again, check with the seller to be sure. 2008 might be good.

Give these folks a call, they're pretty sharp on what will fit and what won't.

I have the Firestone airbags on my F250 and I do not like them at all. Keeps the truck level but rides terrible if you hit any bumps when not towing. Hitting a speed bump at just a couple of miles per hour will about throw you out of the seat. I'm not sure if they are installed incorrectly or what the issue is but next time I will try something different. I keep them around 5-10 psi when not towing.

The air bags have nothing to do with that.. if you are running 5psi in them, in fact they should actually help with the ride.

Drop the tire pressure to 60-65 in the rear when not towing.. if you need help with resetting the TPMS so you can do this without the low tire warning... drop me a pm and I'll return my cell # so I can explain the procedure.
