Checking-in from Memphis

Hello everyone. I have a new 2013 Laredo 303TG and I am towing it with my 2011 Tundra CrewMax 4x4 5.7 V8 FF equipped with a Reese Brakeman Digital Brake Control and Eaz-Lift Weight Distribution and Sway Control hitch. Purchased the trailer from Southaven RV in Southaven, MS on 11/23/2013.

We have been out twice already and I am learning a ton and loving the new challenge. The first night it got down to 23deg F. Trailer did very well. I took it back to the dealer because the furnace was cycling off and on for most of the night and never shut off. They removed 6-8 feet of excess duct work and I have since had it out in 27deg F and it does not cycle nearly as much and does shut off completely after reaching set temp.

The Tundra with the tow set-up tows the trailer very well. This is the first time I have towed anything of significance and I really thought the trailer would be a lot more noticeable than than it is. Don't get me wrong, I can tell it is there but the Tundra handles the trailer very well, both pulling, maneuvering and stopping.

Depending on the weather, we may be taking the trailer to PA for Christmas. This will present a whole new challenge. It is about 740 miles one way.

We are busy making the trailer our own. I told my wife it is like buying a new house. It is not yours until you make it yours. I have been reading tons of posts on the forum and learning a lot from you all. Thank you. I am looking forward to becoming a contributing member of this forum.

Take care,
Ed

Welcome to the forum and to Keystone RVing. Most of us here are very happy with our RV and try to use them as much as possible. There are a few "snags" along the way for some of our members and most of them have been repaired by the dealership or by the member as a matter of ownership. Enjoy personalizing your new "home" and keep us posted as you make it "yours"

We are happy to have you as a new member and look forward to hearing from you soon.
