[QUOTE=CWtheMan;383174]I'll bet someone from Germantown knows where this one is.

Who would of thought, "back in the day" - when Marlo had a sitcom - I'd someday have a St. Jude supported pace maker?

Sorry, Cal, but I just now noticed your post. And you are correct. All self-respecting true Memphians know where the pavilion is located, being able to spot the gold dome for a long ways away.
If anyone happens to travel through the Memphis area and has a few minutes to spare, please take time to show your fellow travelers around the St Jude campus. Visitors are always welcome and will certainly come away with a sense of what has been accomplished since Danny Thomas and his founding group first envisioned this hospital. And let me take this opportunity to thank the millions of people who have ran, walked, saved, donated, and worked tirelessly to make this hospital system what it is.
"No child should die in the dawn of life" Danny Thomas

From our visit to San Diego in October 2019.

Climbing out of his boat and onto shore in 1542, Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo stepped into history as the first European to set foot on what is now the West Coast of the United States. In addition to telling the story of 16th century exploration, the park is home to a wealth of cultural and natural resources.

Mini Pearl. There is a life size bronze statue of her at the Opry Hotel. I took a couple of pictures of it but can't find them. Probably on an older Windows computer of mine.

Yup, I've stayed at the Gaylord in Nashville. I've got some pictures of it and the the other Gaylord's around the country as well. Can't remember the town that was in but it was her birthplace. We also love to go the "backroads" see the sites, and view America from the non tourist view.

What I've read Minnie Pearl was nothing like the character she portrayed.

From what little I've read it was all a "stick" and she was nothing like her character.

She was born in Centerville, TN. Now I recall, we were staying at Loretta Lynn's Ranch for several days and exploring the are when we stumbled into town and found the "museum".

I found that picture. The size of her feet were surely those of a country girl.
