Just FYI!
A 10000 GVWR IS NOT the payload!!!!!!!!
That 10k is the max weight of the truck with everything in/on it plus the hitch/pin weight of whatever rv your towing. The payload for your truck was on that tag you tore off & threw in the trash & I would guarantee it was NOT 10k.

Payload on a 2015 F250 4x4 Lariat 6.7 diesel short bed truck "per the yellow sticker" ranges from 1989-2210, depending on optional equipment. I know, there's one sitting in my driveway right now.

That's funny because i just looked at mine and it says 2,330 No I didn't throw mine away. But I guess some folks don't understand sarcasm.
Ian there is one sitting in my driveway. Mine also has 6,500 pound axles and tires with a weight rating of 3,700 pounds each

I am sure he did, but there is a high price to pay for the wrong term at the wrong place.
We have to have some good fun sometime.

If you post in a sarcastic manner, I think you should make it more clear. Not everybody has the same “humor” you do and as such, someone not knowing better may take your statements as fact and seriously endanger themselves and/or others.

You know, having read and interpreted documents for decades I sensed no "sarcasm" in your posts; and believe me I know sarcasm and understand it. What I did read were irresponsible statements in reply to novice towers asking for competent, knowledgeable...."safe" advice for them and their families.

I also thought you had said you would post a pic of your door stickers? Not doubting your comments above, maybe during the haze of reading your other "weight" recommendations (and ripping off your stickers) I just fantasized that I saw something like that fleeting through.....?

Does anyone recommend adding airbags or airlift to smooth out the ride? We upgrade from a 27 ft bumper pull.

I am waiting for hip surgery, so; I have some downtime.
I have the Reese goosebox hitch, airbags and 2013 F-250. It rides like a dream! No in bed hitch to mess with and an airbag in the hitch as well!

Sorry Jacquelyn, that you had to read 20 volumes of Encyclopedia Britannica on unrelated information just to get an answer to your very simple question!

Crowbar, there is no need for you to apologize to the OP for the posts in this thread. Since you never made a contribution in it I'm not sure why you're concerned. Many posts were needed due to the observation of the purpose of the initial question, then many more were more on a tangent due to other posts. That is the way many, if not most, threads go....particularly asking about air bags on a truck that is probably going to be overweight. That's just the way it is.

In reviewing, you have made several posts apologizing and correcting others; maybe addressing the issues of the OP would be more beneficial.

Is yours the model I listed ? or ??? A 4x2 will weigh about 200 pounds less than a 4x4 and would explain the additional payload.

Airbags

I recommend airbags. I had them on my truck with a slide in camper, and installed them on my new truck pulling a Cougar 5th wheel. I bit the bullet and got the remote compressor so I can adjust on the fly grime the remote control or my iPhone. The main thing is the air bags keep my truck level

Ha! And when a Ford thinks it rules....RAM it!! (and I used to only buy Ford products??)

Sorry, that just came to me; and yes, DW called this AM and is staying with DD (correction) another day so I DO have more time on my hands......

Sadly I can't afford a Ram... I would have to buy a Dodge truck that Lee Iacocca himself built. My little sis has a 3/4 ton Ram (red) that has all the gee-gaws and rides like a car. She also has to put defroster fluid in it or some such and ol' Fords don't use the stuff.

Sorry, I just can't resist but one more....

"She also has to put defroster fluid in it or some such" in her Ram?

Don't Fords require that blinker fluid stuff?

OK, I won't do anymore on this. Been slaving on my bachelor supper all evening and my can of Armour potted meat is about ready to serve along with a side of Claussen pickles and Palmetto cheese with jalapenos to be topped with a container of Nestle Drumstick ice cream. Gotta enjoy it now; this culinary bliss will come to a grinding halt tomorrow....back to chicken, broccoli, kale, eggplant, fresh fruit for dessert.....I'm heading back to Dollar General and getting me another container of Drumstick ice cream before it all ends!!!

Did you guys know that since 1990, 92% of all Dodge/Ram trucks made are still on the road?..................

The rest of them made it home!
