2015 Outback Super lite 322BH

Unit is parked at campground 60 miles away. Have battery at home in basement. Have someone coming to look at trailer as it is for sale. Do I need battery to open slideouts?

Will the slide work without a battery? Probably, as long as you have shore power available.

BUT:

If you don't want to risk burning up the converter (which is not capable of providing the high amp startup load) yes, you'll need a battery. There's also a RED warning decal next to the slide switches warning that a battery is required to operate the slides...

IMO, it wouldn't give a buyer a "good feeling about past use" to see that decal, realize you're ignoring it and telling them the trailer is "well cared for"....

YMMV

Have another question if you can help. This trailer was on a lot we bought in August and we are replacing with another unit. Have always removed the battery from my 5th trailer for the offseason in Wisconsin.
Would I be ok to leave the battery in the trailer and leave the shore power hooked up while we try to sell the trailer in sub zero temperatures? Had eye surgery recently and makes it difficult to keep taking battery in and out.

Yes, you can. Just be sure to check the water level in the battery cells once a month.
