In Command

Is there any way you can program the unit so you don't have to put in the code to unlock it after its shuts down in a few minutes.

Go to the ASA InCommand website and find the manual for your model.
Mine is a Pro Plus and the screen shot below indicates the passcode can be disabled.

I'm glad we don't have this system on our rig, but from what I've read on their web site, it looks like a passcode is required. In the settings though, you can change the duration that the system stays on up to 30 minutes if that helps.

I disabled the pass code on mine. I still have to use a passcode on my iPhone when I connect with Bluetooth.

In the settings menu there is an option to not not ask for that password.
I have mine set that way, so the display just works when touching it.

The default password is 0000 (4 zeros).
Note: Anytime you want to make a setting change, it will still ask for the password though.

It's Settings / Passcode / Set Timer / Off.

I set it this way whenever it's at home or at the dealer.. I activate the passcode only on the road.

The app is a different deal entirely. The two passcodes aren't actually related in any way, though I'm confident most people set them to the same thing because that's not clear and/or for simplicity. All it does it let you into the app or not. The point to be made is that if you change the passcode in the rig, don't expect your app passcode to automatically change too.

EDIT: I totally forgot to point this out: Unlike the in-rig display, there is no way to enter the app without a passcode. They just don't provide one.
