hi, new to te forum

we sold our winnebago Class C 30 ft due to my health and just purchased an 18" Keystone Kodiak 172E. this being smaller its less maintenance and work for my husband, im going to post to the general board asking about how to purchase a replacement mattress. I see that what's there is in 2 pieces, but i have no idea where I could purchase a replacement.

thank you,
Zeyda

Is the mattress in 2 pieces in order to pull the bed extension in? You might try a mattress topper. There are pretty good/comfy 3 or 4" toppers that can make a world of difference.

Yes, it came with 1 mattress. It is one larger and one smaller piece, they are zipped together. I still need to get a mattress for the one that is missing. As for the one that came with the trailer, you say to get a mattress topper to put on top of what's there? Would you know if there is a maximum width/thickness with both the mattress and topper added together? Im afraid that too much width/thickness would be forcing too much width and the bed won't close.
Sorry...im probably confusing you.
Thank you!!

Hello Zeyda, and welcome to you and your DH to the forum!

Congrats on the new Kodiak, and we're sure it be a lot less maintenance for you guys to take care of, versus the class C.

We also are pondering whether to replace the mattress in our Alpine, or go with a 4 inch mattress topper. Leaning toward the topper, but have not made a final decision.

Travel safe and have fun!

I don't know the specifics of your trailer to be able to give specific advice. I was suggesting a mattress topper as a possible solution rather than replacing a mattress. I can't advise of specific thickness if you're limited on space. If you're missing a mattress then you'll need to measure the space to see what might fit there.

Maybe you can take some pics of what you're dealing with along with some dimensions. Glad to help where we can.
