But, the sales critter at the RV dealer said my little truck would pull it.

You can tow a passenger jet with a half ton truck but should you.
Getting customers so close to maximum numbers is criminal.
They are legally able to entice you with shady meaningless ads.
Empty weights mean nothing!
Who will tow without adding weight of water, groceries, clothes, another battery,
Full Propane, camp chairs & accessories?
Half Ton towable is a scam and put you too close to maximums for towing & payload.
