Anyone ever have to reset their refrigerator using the reset button on your heating element?

If your talking about the thermal sensor on the chimney, it’s not common.

I do...just about every time I run on propane while traveling. I switch to propane before leaving and all is well. I get to my destination and fridge is dead in the water and won't power on (even on shore power) until I hit the reset button. At some point during the journey it just shuts down.

When stationary, I can run on propane just fine. We are on a trip now and had a brief power outage a couple days ago. I switched to propane when that occurred and left it there. Over 48 hours on LP and no issues.

So, something causes mine to crap out while traveling.

Is the flame being extinguished possibly?

That thermal sensor is supposed to shut off the power of the chimney gets too hot.

Just a guess but maybe there's an aerodynamic condition that's not allowing the flue to properly vent at speed. I've had LP/electric absorbstion fridges in 4 trailers. I've always traveled with them running on gas and have never had one that has tripped. Just my experience.
